Ready and Waiting

I finally got the finishing touches put on Adalyn's nursery and just wanted to share the finished product. Well, almost finished. It will be complete as soon as she arrives... and as I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant, we are hoping that will be anytime now!

I told Ronnie that her room is so small and he said that it is "fit for a princess..." to which I replied, "a tiny princess."

"God's Special People" Sunday School class got us a calendar to record all of her special milestones and events. We are just waiting to put the "Arrived On:" sticker up :).

The finished tree to match her bedding on the opposite wall.

A close-up of all of the critters. The owl is my absolute favorite part.

Her closet with only some of her clothes. She will definitely not have to worry about being clothed... for the first 9 months anyways :).

I made a quick hanger to put all of the bows my good friend Laura made for her. Let's just hope she has hair!

Lots of toys to play with. You can see in the back, my "baby Sara" cabbage patch doll from when I was little. She was my favorite doll. I hope Addy loves her as much as I did.

The cutest little Scentsy I have ever seen from her Aunt Tam-Tam's doggie, Josey Wales.

A Nursery in the Making

I can't believe it's been almost 5 months since my last post. My apologies for those who might actually stop by to read our blog. I don't have a lot of time for updates, but I thought I would post a few pictures.

First, here is the lastest picture of our sweet daughter, Adalyn. This is from 27 weeks:

During Christmas break, my mom came down and helped me to work on her nursery. I still have a little ways to go, but we did manage to get a verse on the wall above her crib (which is the only piece of furniture in her room at the moment)...

Mom got a Cricut for Christmas, which we used to cut out vinyl letters to put on the wall. It took about 6 hours... a long but project, but the results were more than I expected! You can't tell in the picture (sorry for the quality... it's a mobile upload), but the wall color is a much brighter green.

I also managed to get the outline of the tree painted on the opposite wall. It matches her bedding. I still have a lot of filling in and detail work to do, but at 33 weeks preggo.. this took most of my energy:

Mom and I also used her new Cricut to cut out critters for the tree. These are made out of card stock and are 3-D which you can't tell in the pictures. I'm absolutely in love with these:

Once I finish painting the tree and get the critters in their new home (and get the rest of the furniture in), I'll post the end results. I'll take pictures with an actual camera next time so hopefully the colors will be more accurate.

Only about 6 more weeks until Addy gets here! I hope she loves her room!
